Mark has had an amazing career, from serving as Canadian ambassador to Cuba, to Foreign Service assignments at the Canadian Embassies in Tel Aviv, Israel (1982-1985) and Moscow, in the former Soviet Union (1986-1989), where he was responsible for bilateral relations between Canada and the USSR, to press secretary to the Prime Minister of Canada, to founding Acasta Capital and much more.  Mark is joining the symposium as keynote speaker to focus on his time in and knowledge of Cuba, but you can find out more about his illustrious career here.
