Jerry Creighton, Sr. is the Executive Director of the Enterprise Development Center (EDC) and co-founder of the NJIT Highlanders Angel Network, Inc. ™ (NJITHAN), a previous business owner, and a person with experience in business development, commercialization, and M&A practices.

 

Jerry is dedicated to helping early stage and expansion companies advance technology, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth. He leads the Enterprise Development Center (EDC), a NJIT/NJII Organization located at NJIT. The EDC is New Jersey’s largest high-technology and life-science business development center that averages ninety (90) portfolio companies. The EDC is a recipient of the International Business Innovation Association (InBIA) “Soft Landings International Incubator” designation which recognizes programs that are especially capable of helping nondomestic companies enter the domestic market in the USA and Advancement of Invention & Process Award bestowed by the New Jersey Investors Hall of Fame. He is a past President of the NJ Business Incubation Network (NJBIN). 

 

Jerry has an extensive background in management and consulting spanning multiple facets of strategy development, operational management, marketing & sales, finance, venture transaction planning and implementation. Jerry’s background includes key management positions with major international companies such as AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Deutsche Telekom / T-Systems. He has previously held a position as an Adjunct Professor at NJIT.

 

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree and his MBA from Widener University.
