Rupert is a partner at Dolleymores. A highly regarded patent attorney, Rupert has particular expertise in opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office, including representing clients in ex partes and inter partes oral proceedings. Working in the mechanical, electrical and software arts, he has specific experience with inventions in the fields of personal hygiene, medical devices, oil and gas exploration and drilling, military equipment, scaffolding and formwork, and consumer electronics.

Following graduation, Rupert spent three years as a Patent Examiner at the UK Patent Office. Seeking a more commercially focussed role, he joined Dolleymores as a trainee patent attorney in 2005 and became a partner in 2012. From working closely with a number of direct clients, Rupert has developed a practical, business focussed approach to advising clients.
