Marco A. Gonzalez, Jr. practices in the areas of complex civil and commercial litigation, business compliance, and internal investigations and white-collar defense. He has considerable experience representing clients in governmental enforcement proceedings covering various federal and state statutes and regulations from the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act to trade sanctions enforced by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control. Mr. Gonzalez has leveraged his language skills, and military and technical background in successfully representing clients over a range of complex matters. Mr. Gonzalez’s practice extends to representing clients in the Caribbean, Europe and Latin America, and in matters relating to licensed transactions under OFAC’s Cuban Asset Control Regulations (CACRs). Mr. Gonzalez is also a member of NDSLAW’s Outside General Counsel Practice Group, which offers small and mid-cap businesses the benefits of a dedicated legal department at alternative billing arrangements tailored to their specific needs.
Having served in the U.S. Marine Corps and as an Aircraft Structural Specialist on the F-117A Stealth Fighter Project for the former Lockheed-California Aircraft Company, Mr. Gonzalez brings a unique perspective to the practice of law. Mr. Gonzalez is a past President and the former General Counsel of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey, a 2012 graduate of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s Academy for Leadership and Inclusion Training, and he is the recipient of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of NJ’s 2012 Business Person of the Year – Legal Industry Award.
